MAN ARRESTED FOR AUTO THEFT IN CROSSVILLE
Crossville police arrested a man yesterday for allegedly stealing a vehicle. Twenty-five-year-old Robert Lee Howard faces charges of felony evading arrest and motor vehicle theft. Upon a traffic stop, police said a passenger, identified as 37-year-old Michael Paul Lenz, exited the car and Howard drove off at a high rate of speed. Howard crashed the vehicle and fled on foot at the corner of Obed Street and Highway 70 North. A K-9 officer tracked Howard to the yard of a daycare on Oak Grove Street, where he was arrested. As of the time of the report issued, Lenz had not been located.
