MAN ARRESTED FOR DUI ON GENESIS
According to a report by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, yesterday, Deputy Tyler Leary observed a Ford F-150 traveling inbound on Genesis Road. Going over the double yellow line for around 3 seconds. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the F-150 near I-40 exit 320 eastbound due to failure to maintain his Lane of travel.
The deputy identified the driver as James Kenneth Cooper Jr. and asked him to step out of the vehicle, whereupon the deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming off his person. The driver said he had five or six alcoholic beverages and consented to performing standardized field sobriety tests.
However, Cooper failed these tests, and he was transported to Cumberland County intake for booking for driving under the influence.
