MAN ARRESTED FOR KIDNAPPING AND ASSAULT

A Roane County man was arrested yesterday on a host of charges following an incident on the 3800th block of Airport Road. Deputies were called to a residence there in reference to a woman possibly being held against her will. Officers found the female with 45-year-old Thaddeus Lee Webb of Rockwood. Webb was arrested for violating bond conditions that stated he could not be around the victim. She told deputies that Webb allegedly hid at her residence and jumped on the roof of her car when she got in the vehicle. Webb then reportedly threatening to bust the window if she did not let him in. The victim put the car in drive and pressed the accelerator in an effort to get Webb off the vehicle but not before he shattered the driver’s side window sending glass pieces towards the side of the victims head. Webb then reportedly made his way into the car and forced the victim to drive to Crossville. They later returned to the Airport Road residence and officers arrived a short time later performing a welfare check. Officers say Webb was arrested for stalking the same woman back on January 10. He is now charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, stalking and vandalism. Webb was taken to the Roane County jail and initially placed under no bond.
