MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGE IN SCHOOL ZONE
A Cumberland County man is facing a drug charge following a traffic stop this week. Crossville police stopped a 2000 Lincoln for having dark tinted windows. According to the arrest report, 24-year-old Leo Hayes III of Crossville opened the driver’s door and the officer allegedly smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and saw a small bag of meth residue. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a silver container with a bag of meth inside. Officers say Hayes reportedly was in possession of meth in a school zone and during the duration of the traffic stop, children were arriving at school.
