A Roane County man was arrested following a disturbance this past Tuesday night (November 14, 2017). According to the arrest report, deputies responded to a home in the 700^th block of Swan Pond Road where 29-year-old Joshua Fred Adkisson allegedly grabbed a woman by the throat and slammed her to the ground resulting in injuries to the victim. Officers attempted to pat Adkisson down to check for weapons but he reportedly refused to put his hands behind his back. Deputies took Adkisson to the ground and placed him in custody for domestic assault.
