MAN FACES AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND FALSE IMPRISONMENT CHARGES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT
On June 8, 2026, Harley Elijah Roysdon is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court for charges of aggravated assault and false imprisonment. According to the affidavit of complaint filed by Patrolman Jacob Ogle, the charges stem from an incident on June 1, 2026, at approximately 12:48 AM, when police responded to a report of a woman screaming at Heather Ridge Circle. Upon arrival, Officer Ogle witnessed a dispute through a window and subsequently made contact with Mr. Roysdon and a woman.
The victim, who had blood on her face and clothing, reported that Mr. Roysdon restrained her inside the residence by wrapping his arm around her throat and strangling her as she attempted to leave. She further stated that when she bit his fingers to free herself, he punched her in the face.
While Mr. Roysdon claimed the physical contact was limited to preventing her from leaving, Officer Ogle noted that the physical marks on both individuals corroborated Ms. Pabi’s account of the altercation.
