MAN FACES DUI AND DRUG CHARGES AFTER HIGHWAY 411 CRASH

A Maryville man is facing charges after a car crash on Highway 411 in Loudon County Friday night.

Carl Hall, 48, was charged with DUI, felony possession, simple possession, and vehicular assault.

According to a preliminary crash report, Hall’s Ford Taurus crossed the center turn lane into oncoming traffic and hit a Mazda RX-8 with 29-year-old John Lay driving an 8-year-old girl.

The incident was reported at 6 p.m. Friday.

LIFESTAR helicopters responded to the crash scene just after 7 p.m.

Hall, Lay and the 8-year-old girl were transported to UT Medical Center for injuries. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
