On April 28, 2025, Crossville Police Officer Jonathan O’Neal observed a white male operating a yellow ATV, which is not street-legal, on Hayes Street. When O’Neal attempted to stop the ATV using blue lights, the driver fled, leading to a pursuit through multiple city streets, parking lots, and fields, reaching speeds of about 60 mph.

The chase continued across various roads, including Hwy 70 East, West Adams Street, and Dayton Ave, before the ATV turned onto County Seat Road and entered a driveway on County Seat Road. The ATV then went through a wooded area, where the operator, Michael Culver, was apprehended by Officer Freeman after a foot chase.

Culver had an active warrant for parole violation and was charged with felony evading arrest.

The ATV was returned to its owner.
