MAN FOUND GUILTY ON DRUG CHARGES FOLLOWING TRIAL

A Fentress County man has been convicted following a trial on drug charges. Court officials say 41-year-old Gregory Randall South was found guilty on two counts of the sale of a Schedule II drug (morphine). Investigators started looking into the case against South late last year when they received information that South was selling morphine in the county. Authorities used an individual to purchase morphine from South on two consecutive days in September 2016. South is scheduled to be sentenced in Fentress County Criminal Court January 29, 2018.
