A man was flown by Lifestar to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville following a motorcycle accident last night (Wednesday, May 10, 2017) in Roane County. Officers say the motorcyclist, Thomas Dominique Shirley Jr., was traveling south on South Kingston Avenue near Brillo Park when he lost control and crashed. First responders arrived on the scene within minutes and administered first aid to Shirley until paremedics arrived. Shirley was taken by ambulance to the Roane Health Department helipad where Lifestar awaited his arrival. Authorities say speed could have been a factor in the accident. Shirley’s condition was not available from U.T. Medical Center.
