MAN SHOPLIFTS BACKPACK LEAF BLOWER FROM CROSSVILLE TRACTOR SUPPLY
On April 16, 2026, Officer Brittany Price of the Crossville Police Department responded to a theft report at the Tractor Supply located at Highland Square. Store manager Gabe Cook reported that a male suspect had stolen a Husqvarna 150BT backpack leaf blower, valued at $349.99, the previous evening.
Surveillance footage from April 15 showed a bearded male in a blue and white striped shirt entering the store at 6:20 PM and exiting through the garden center with the boxed blower in a cart at 6:38 PM. The suspect then staged his vehicle, a black four-door Chevrolet HHR, in front of the garden center to load the item before departing the premises at 6:40 PM.
The investigation progressed as management confirmed no sales records existed for the item during that timeframe, indicating a desire to press charges. Although the initial footage only partially identified the license plate, subsequent collaboration between officers led to the identification of the vehicle. The car, bearing a Tennessee plate, was linked to a man from Green Meadows.
Following these findings, the case was cleared and the property was officially marked as recovered on the night of April 17, 2026.
