MAN STABBED IN FENTRESS COUNTY

The Fentress County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a stabbing that took place yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, June 21, 2017). Officers and medical first responders were called to 619 Page Road in Clarkrange for an altercation involving a gun and a knife. Officers say the argument began over drugs between 28-year-old Josh Fry and 38-year-old Michael Elam. According to the report, Fry allegedly threatened Elam with a hand gun and fired two rounds. A physical altercation then took place resulting in stabbing wounds to Fry. Fry was flown to UT Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained. The case is being referred to the district attorney’s office and multiple charges are pending. The case was investigated by the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office assisted by Fentress County Constable Ken Fearing and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
