MAN TRIES TO DESTROY EVIDENCE BY EATING MARIJUANA

Crossville Police charged a man with DUI after a single vehicle crash Saturday night. Officers observed a white Honda sedan traveling at approximately 80 mph on Wayne Ave. The vehicle ran off the road in the area of Phillips Dr. and Cook Rd. and striking several standing trees. Upon contact with the driver, 33-year-old Arturo Dominguez, officers reported the smell of alcohol and marijuana, and Dominguez stated that he had two beers previously. Upon examination, pieces of marijuana were also noted on the suspect’s tongue where he had tried to destroy evidence. He also failed several sobriety tests. He was charged with DUI along with other traffic offenses.
