A stolen vehicle in Crossville was later found abandoned by police. The owner of the 2001 Nissan M20 told officers that he was asleep inside his Fawn Loop home when he heard the vehicle start up. By the time he looked out the window, he observed the vehicle being driven down the street. He ran after the car and then noted that it was heading toward Cook Rd. The victim told police that he had left the keys inside the unlocked car when a visual sighting of the Nissan was made on Genesis Rd. After a pursuit, the vehicle was discovered abandoned with the keys left inside on Hickory Lane. An investigation is proceeding.
