Crossville police are searching for a wanted man who is possibly armed. Authorities are requesting citizens to be on the lookout for 39-year-old William Shone Moore. He is a Caucasian male standing 6’3” and weighs 235 pounds. Moore has blue eyes and a shaved head or very short brown hair. Moore was last seen wearing yellow boots, a black Under Armor Hat, blue jeans, a blue jacket and carrying a black bag. He was last seen in the area of Webb Avenue and Genesis Road in the city. Moore has outstanding arrest warrants in Cumberland County and is believed to be armed and on foot. As a result of the search, Cumberland County schools went into a soft lockdown around 1 pm this afternoon and dismissed on time. All bus drivers were alerted to Moore’s description prior to leaving the schools. At 3:15 this afternoon, Crossville Police Chief David Beaty told 105.7 News that he believed that Moore fled the area but wants the citizens of Crossville to stay vigilant.
