MORGAN BUSTED FOR POSSESSION/RESALE OF POT, CLAIMS IT WAS TEMPORARY… ’TIL HE FOUND A FULL-TIME JOB

During a traffic stop late Saturday night, Cumberland County deputies noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, 21-year-old Keith Austin Morgan of Crossville, was found to be in possession of numerous empty plastic baggies and electronic scales with pot residue on them. He also is alleged to have admitted having a small amount of marijuana hidden in his crotch area. He retrieved the marijuana, which weighed approximately 34 grams. The arrest report states Morgan claimed he was “just selling marijuana until he found a full time job.” Morgan was charged with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance for resale and placed under $20,000 bond. He has a court appearance scheduled for March 4.
