MORGAN COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH SHOOTING IN WARTBURG

A Morgan County man has been charged in connection with a shooting that left four people injured last night in Wartburg. Officers say 58-year-old Jerry W. Bell faces four counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. The shooting took place at Sunnyside Apartments on Kingston Street. Bell was said to have left his apartment and reportedly shot 19-year-old Jacob Kimbro. Authorities say Bell then went into an apartment and shot Jason Stover. Another shot from Bell reportedly grazed 30-year-old Timothy Armos and 30-year-old Nicholas Cooper. Kimbro and Stover were both taken to the hospital and later released. Armes and Cooper refused medical treatment. Bell was taken to the Morgan County jail and placed under a $150,000 bond.
