Cumberland County deputies took a man into custody yesterday after a short vehicle pursuit. A deputy reportedly saw a motorcycle operated by William Rix Schuyler of Crossville pass a vehicle in a no passing zone. Schuyler traveled on Highway 70 North then turned on West Creston Road reaching speeds of up to 75 miles per hour. The chase ended on Carter Town Road where officers arrested Schuyler for evading arrest and simple possession of a Schedule II drug (meth).
