A motorcyclist was injured after an accident yesterday on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County.

Troopers say a 2017 Mogu sports bike operated by 45-year-old Keith J. Clawson of Illinois was traveling east at the 329-mile marker or near the Crab Orchard exit.

Clawson lost control and came off the motorcycle. He came to rest on the eastbound shoulder of the interstate.

The motorcycle came to rest in a ditch.

A landing zone was set up near the scene for a medical helicopter to fly Clawson to an area trauma center.
