MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER SECOND STABBING REPORTED
A murder suspect is in the hospital after police track him down in Whitley County, Kentucky yesterday. Investigators say 27-year-old Jeffrey Cole was wanted in connection to a stabbing that took place Monday on Jordon Hollow Road. Officers say Cole fatally stabbed 55-year-old Curtis Lawson after a fight at Lawson’s home. According to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Cole was caught yesterday after they say there was a second stabbing reported, this time near Sullivan’s Towing in Williamsburg. That victim had non life-threatening injuries. The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department says Cole was located at a home on Wilson Road. He was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in London to be treated for potential complications from hypothermia. After he was treated, Cole was taken to the Whitley County Detention Center. He is charged with murder, assault and fleeing or evading police.
