The New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34 – 28 Sunday evening in Super Bowl 51. Patriot Quarterback Tom Brady threw for 466 yards . It was the first overtime Super Bowl game in history. The Falcons dominated the first half getting up 28 to 3 but New England stormed back in the second half to take the victory with a touchdown early in overtime
