Motorists along Interstate 40 eastbound in Cumberland and Putnam counties should be aware of the following nighttime activity: milling and paving from mile marker 301 to mile marker 307. Work will be performed Sunday through Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will require temporary lane closures, with state trooper support. This highway-resurfacing project is scheduled for completion by the end of this month.
