More school systems in the area will open their doors for the year this week to students. Fentress County resumes classes today (Monday, August 6, 2018). Roane and Pickett County students return tomorrow (Tuesday, August 7, 2018) and Cumberland County’s first day of school is Wednesday (August 8, 2018). Motorists should be extra careful, watch for children boarding and getting off buses, and obey school zone speed limits.
