OVER $1000 CHARGED ON VICTIM’S DEBIT CARD AT WALMART
Credit and debit card fraud continues to be a large problem in the region. Crossville Police were dispatched to Walmart for a theft report Saturday. A woman at the store told officers that she had shopped in the store earlier that day and that shortly after Noon, she was notified by her bank that her card had been used seven times that day after her initial purchase, for a total sum of $1123. All of the transactions were verified as being made at the Crossville store that day and the account was immediately frozen pending a full investigation.
