PILOT HOSPITALIZED IN SINGLE ENGINE PLANE CRASH IN CARTHAGE
A pilot involved in a single engine aircraft crash in Smith County has been hospitalized. The wreck happened in the 100 block of McCall Street in South Carthage on Wednesday afternoon. EMA Officials say that the pilot, Collin McDonald, was the only occupant. However they stated that he lives in the area and has flown for some time. McDonald, who is an MTSU graduate, was removed from the plane and rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center by helicopter. FAA Investigators confirmed that the plane made a forced landing in a field.
