POLICE CHASE IN BLEDSOE COUNTY ENDS IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY WITH TWO ARRESTS
A high speed pursuit of a suspect in Bledsoe County ended in Cumberland County with two arrests. Bledsoe County deputies noticed a vehicle with a tail light out near Mary Wheeler Elementary School and attempted to pull over the driver, 34-year-old Dakota Matthew Bolin of Pikeville. Instead Bolin reportedly led officers on a pursuit on Highway 101 into Cumberland County reaching speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. A female passenger, 31-year-old Catherine Jean Beason of Pikeville, opened the door and jumped out when Bolin temporarily slowed down. The pursuit ended at the corner of Turkey Blind Road and Brewer Road when Bolin crashed. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed meth and marijuana. Bolin was charged with felony evading arrest, possession of meth and two other offenses. Beason was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries then charged with simple possession of drugs.
