It’s been 15 years since the attacks on American soil on Sept. 11, 2001. The Post 9/11 Combat Committee and Cumberland County Veteran’s Affairs Office will dedicate the Post 9/11 Combat Memorial in downtown Crossville on Sunday, Sept. 11^th. This Memorial is dedicated to those Cumberland County residents that have given the ultimate sacrifice to our county and country in combat since 9/11. At this time the county has three service members whose names will be placed on the Memorial: Marine Sgt. Morgan W. Strader, Marine Lance Cpl. Stephan Fitzgerald Dearmon and Army Sgt Daniel T. Lee. The dedication is scheduled for 2:30 PM at Veterans Memorial Park across from the Cumberland County Courthouse on Main St. The public is encouraged to attend.
