POST 9/11 MEMORIAL TO BE DEDICATED IN CROSSVILLE SUNDAY

It’s been 15 years since the attacks on American soil on Sept. 11, 2001. The Post 9/11 Combat Committee and Cumberland County Veteran’s Affairs Office will dedicate the Post 9/11 Combat Memorial in downtown Crossville on Sunday, Sept. 11th. This Memorial is dedicated to those Cumberland County residents that have given the ultimate sacrifice to our county and country in combat since 9/11. At this time the county has three service members whose names will be placed on the Memorial: Marine Sgt. Morgan W. Strader, Marine Lance Cpl. Stephan Fitzgerald Dearmon and Army Sgt Daniel T. Lee. The dedication is scheduled for 2:30 PM at Veterans Memorial Park across from the Cumberland County Courthouse on Main St. The public is encouraged to attend.
