At this hour, Volunteer Energy crews are working to restore power to just over 2,500 customers in Cumberland County and the Fairfield Glade area. Bobby Randolph with VEC told 105.7 News the outage is a result of an equipment failure at the Crossville substation. Crews are working to repair a switch and, according to Randolph, power should be restored by 8 a.m. Central time.
