PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING KINGSTON FOSSIL PLANT SET
State environmental regulators will be holding a hearing tonight (Thursday, August 28, 2019) on a future expansion of the Kingston Fossil Plant’s coal ash and gypsum landfill. The meeting will focus on water quality issues including wetlands and streams. The public is invited to this hearing in the auditorium at Roane County High School Auditorium in Kingston. An informational session will be from 5 until 6 p.m. eastern and a public hearing will be from 6 until 8 p.m. eastern time.
