PUTNAM COUNTY MAN INDICTED FOR CHILD AB– USE
A Putnam County man has been indicted by a grand jury for child abuse. Authorities took 28-year-old Jacob Robert Simpson into custody for an incident that allegedly took place last Halloween. Officers say it involved a female child under the age of 12. Simpson was transported to the Putnam County jail and placed under a $200,000 bond. Simpson is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge early next week. Simpson was arrested for aggravated assault back in February of this year when he allegedly brandished a knife on another individual in Cookeville.
