President Donald Trump presented Putnam County Rescue Squad member Sean Ochsenbein with the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor today.

The President presented the award during an event that was livestreamed from the White House this afternoon.

In 2016, while on vacation, Ochsenbein helped pull a man from a burning vehicle in Elizabethton, Tennessee.

Ochsenbein was one of 12 emergency responders to receive the Medal of Valor this year. Less than 100 have received the award in it’s 16-year history.
