ROANE COUNTY DEPUTY INVOLVED IN VEHICULAR CRASH

A Roane County Deputy is alright after being involved in a T-Bone type wreck Thursday. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the accident occurred shortly after 5:30 PM when a 2001 Lincoln Town Car driven by 82-year-old Wanda Robinson, was stopped at Delozier Lane westbound. Deputy Justin Edwards was traveling north on Highway 27 in a Chevy Tahoe cruiser. Robinson failed to see the Tahoe and crossed over the two northbound lanes of traffic to access the southbound lane. When the deputy pulled out, Robinson tried to swerve to avoid the collision but struck the vehicle on the left side near the rear tire. The Tahoe then spun around before coming to an uncontrolled stop in the cross over. The Lincoln continued on for several yards before coming to rest in the left lane. No injuries were noted and no charges were listed on the report.
