A recent single vehicle accident in Roane County left the driver injured as well as charged. Troopers say a 2004 Honda Accord driven by 56-year-old Donald E. Garren of Rockwood was traveling south on Highway 70 near Mountain View Road when the vehicle crossed the center line and left the roadway striking a ditch, a rock wall then a tree. The vehicle rotated 180 degrees and came to rest in the left lane of the highway. Garren was hurt in the crash and later charged with DUI.
