ROANE COUNTY HIGH STUDENT DEFEATS CANCER

A Roane County High School student and football player has scored a great victory in the battle against cancer.

At just 18-years-old, Ethan Guinn was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and numerous people in the community fought the battle with him.

Now Guinn’s family has announced Guinn is cancer free!

After hearing about Guinn’s cancer in January, his football coach Brian Pankey said, “He told me he was going treat this like the next football game. He said I’m just gonna knock it out coach and just keep on living. That’s pretty powerful for an 18 year old to say that when he’s been diagnosed with cancer.”

Ethan’s family said it is Ethan’s faith that kept him strong.

“The one thing our family knows is that he is in Gods hands and God has a plan and he’s gonna use Ethan in an awesome and mighty way,” said Connie Guinn.
