A registered sex offender from Roane County was arrested late Monday in Crossville. Officers stopped a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Willie Ashton Dyal of Rockwood on Industrial Boulevard for a registration violation. The report states Dyal had the vehicle for 4 to 5 days and did not report it to his parole officer as required. Dyal was taken into custody for felony violation of the sex offender registry and driving on a suspended license. Dyal is classified as violent against children after he was found guilty of attempting to commit aggravated sexual battery.
