ROCKWOOD MAN ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED DOMESTIC ASSAULT AFTER ALLEGEDLY FIRING WEAPON TOWARDS VICTIM

Last Friday (May 26, 2017), Roane County deputies responded to a Bayless Street home in reference to a domestic assault with a weapon involved. According to the report, a male victim told officers that his brother-in-law, 35-year-old Kevin Ross Young of Rockwood, had allegedly assaulted him then he was shot at by Young. The victim told officers that the shot came extremely close to his head. The report stated that by looking at the trajectory of the bullet holes on the opened door, adjacent wall and where the victim was seated, deputies say the shot was extremely close to the victim. Deputies went to Young’s residence and questioned him. Officers also retrieved a Model 1911 A1 .45 caliber pistol loaded with a magazine with hollow point rounds, allegedly matching the loose round an officer discovered at the scene of the incident. Young was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault and transported to the Roane County jail.

All information from this story was taken directly from the arresting agency report.
