1057news.com has confirmed the death of a 38 year old man and 14 year old boy in a tragic accident in Rockwood on Friday.  The Rockwood Police Department has released the following statement on Facebook:

There have been so many things posted regarding the tragedy which occurred yesterday evening on Kingston Ave. In order to alleviate and stop the unnecessary speculation of some, here is some basic information. The accident was a one vehicle accident with 4 occupants. Unfortunately there were two confirmed fatalities. One person as of last night was in intensive care. The fourth person received non life threatening injuries.

We will not release names on facebook. I am sure the families of all involved would appreciate your prayers through their time of loss and prayers for the recovery of those surviving.

First responders, police, fire, and rescue squad, worked feverishly to assist those injured and the victims until it was determined that nothing else could be done. Naming those emergency personnel is fruitless as all worked hard and were touched by this event.
