ROCKWOOD WOMAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF METH

During a traffic stop Thursday morning, Cumberland County deputies smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle driven by 30-year-old Sara Lyn Davis of Rockwood. Davis told deputies she had smoked pot in the vehicle that morning; she also reportedly told them she had meth in a backpack in the passenger  seat.

Dispatch alerted deputies to an outstanding warrant for Davis in Roane County. Davis was arrested and charged with felony possession of meth and initially placed under $5,000 bond.

She is due in court January 14.
