SEARCH FOR NEW UCHRA DIRECTOR BEGINS WITH COMMITTEE SELECTED

The search for a new executive director for the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) has begun with the selection of the committee tasked with the search. The following individuals were appointed by the UCHRA’s policy committee: Van Buren County Executive Greg Wilson; Putnam County Executive Randy Porter; Cumberland County Mayor Kenneth Carey, Jr.; Cookeville Mayor Ricky Shelton; Overton County Executive Ben Danner; Livingston Mayor Curtis Hayes; Smith County Mayor Michael Nesbitt; Macon County Mayor Steve Jones; DeKalb County Mayor Tim Stribling; and consumer representative Johnnie Wheeler. The committee will meet next month and draft a list of preferred qualifications for the executive director position. Former UCHRA executive director Luke Collins was fired last week following allegations of misconduct.
