SEPTEMBER UNEMPLOYMENT IN TENNESSEE HAS UPS AND DOWNS
According to the latest seasonally adjusted unemployment estimates, September had its’ ups and downs in Tennessee. The state rate rose slightly from 4.4 percent in August to 4.6 percent. Cumberland County saw a rise of two tenths of a percentage point from 5.9 percent to 6.1. However, Roane County unemployment dropped slightly from 5.8 percent to 5.7 percent. Williamson County posted the lowest number at 3.7 percent with Hancock County having the highest unemployment in the state at 8.4 percent.
