SEVERAL FIRE UNITS RESPOND TO STRUCTURE BLAZE IN HARRIMAN
An abandoned trailer that officials say was scheduled to be torn down was brought down by fire yesterday (Tuesday, May 16, 2017) in Harriman. According to Roane County Emergency Services, the blaze took place around mid-afternoon on the 200th block of McKinney Road in Harriman. Officials say a controlled burn near the home started to go towards the structure and ignited it. Fire crews from Midtown Fire Department, South and West Roane County Volunteer Fire Department, Blair Fire Department and the Roane County Rescue Squad all responded to the scene to battle the blaze that took an hour to get put out. No injuries were reported in the fire.
