SEVERE WEATHER LIKELY IN OUR AREA TUESDAY, APRIL 2, 2024
The National Weather Service continues to monitor a growing threat of severe weather for this Tuesday (April 2, 2024).
The entire Cumberland Plateau and valley is currently in a Slight Risk zone.
Central and much of eastern Kentucky is in an Enhanced Risk
Weather officials say all severe weather hazards are possible, including severe thunderstorms, damaging winds and gusts over 60 miles an hour, up to ping pong size hail, and a few tornadoes are possible.
Scattered strong to severe storms are expected to develop ahead of a cold front across West Tennessee on Tuesday morning. The storms will spread eastward across Middle Tennessee late Tuesday morning and into the afternoon hours.
The current time window for the storms arriving and affecting our area is between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday.
