SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE FOR COVERAGE AREA MARCH 12, 2020

This is the last thing we needed to hear based on what happened last week.

The National Weather Service in Nashville said this morning there is now a threat for severe weather tomorrow night (Thursday, March 12, 2020) in the coverage area. Damaging winds are the most likely hazard, but one or two tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Localized large hail may occur. Heavy downpours of rain are expected tomorrow night and may cause brief flooding of streets and low lying areas. The greatest risk at this time if from the Lebanon area west to Memphis. All of the 105.7 The Hog coverage area is under a marginal risk of severe weather.

The estimated timing as of now of impact of the storms is between 8 p.m. and midnight tomorrow night on the plateau but the timing will be fine-tuned by tomorrow morning. 105.7 News will do a follow-up story on this developing situation tomorrow morning.

Stay tuned to 105.7 The Hog for live updates of any warnings that may be issued tomorrow night.
