SOBRIETY CHECKPOINTS SCHEDULED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has scheduled a sobriety checkpoint in Cumberland County anytime from November 19th until the 25th, 2023, on Highway 70 West at Browntown Road.
Troopers recognize that the checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.
The reason law enforcement announces the sobriety checkpoints is to be compliant with a U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Judges ruled the checkpoints constitutional as long as an announcement is made in advance informing the public of the general location and the dates.
