STATE ROUTE 116 IN ANDERSON COUNTY TO BE CLOSED 3-4 WEEKS DUE TO LANDSLIDE
Motorists who use State Route 116 through Anderson County can expect a stretch of roadway in Clinton to remain closed for another three to four weeks, in the aftermath of a landslide during last week’s heavy rains. Tennessee Department of Transportation spokesman Mark Nagi said this morning loose material is being cleared away from the site. Nagi added TDOT crews will construct a rock buttress to support the crumbling roadway.
TDOT noted they also expect State Route 66 will reopen later this week.
