STEVE NORRIS WEATHER – RECORD WARMTH NEXT 2 DAYS

Unseasonably warm temperatures and lots of sunshine in the forecast for Thursday and Friday with high temperatures of 70 to 75 degrees . The wind will gradually pick up over the next couple of days which is bad news for firefighters dealing with these woods fires all across East Tennessee. A 50% chance of rain comes in Friday night and possibly a thundershower in some areas, this could be a huge help so keep your fingers crossed. The rain should be out by Saturday afternoon and clearing will begin with a high temperature in the 50s. Sunday looks mostly sunny but chilly with highs only in the 40s and dropping to the 20s Sunday night . Here are a couple of interesting notes – on Saturday the sun will set in Barrow Alaska and it will not rise until January 22nd, can you imagine that! And a blizzard will affect parts of South Dakota and Minnesota Friday as winter creeps into the Northern United States. Back on the local scene, I see 2 more chances of rain as we look down the road a couple of weeks. One rain could come near Thanksgiving and another around November 28th .
