STEVE NORRIS WEATHER – VERY ACTIVE

Rain will be on the increase through tonight and there will be a chance of scattered thunderstorms. Gusty South Winds up to 40 miles per hour. Rainfall could be over 1 inch tonight in many areas. Around daylight on Sunday much colder air will arrive on the plateau and move into East Tennessee bringing a chance of a wintry mixture that could bring some slick spots on area roads, there will also be a chance of some light snow on Sunday with temperatures near the freezing mark. Temperatures will drop to near 20 degrees Sunday night with wind chills even lower. No major accumulation of ice or snow is expected but it certainly could be enough to create icy patches on some roads and make sidewalks and porches slick. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. Till noon on Sunday. Stay tuned to 105.7 for my updates on this weather system today and tomorrow.
