High temperatures on Wednesday ranged from 86 in Crossville to 90 in Oak Ridge and Knoxville. Autumn begins at 10:21 Eastern Time Thursday morning 9:21 a.m. Central and it’s going to be a hot day with temperatures topping out 85 to 90 degrees. Lots of sunshine will continue through the weekend as this big high-pressure system covers the area which is very typical for this time of year. The next chance of rain appears to be early next week which will be followed by cooler air Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
