STOLEN CROSSVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY TRUCK RECOVERED
A Crossville Housing Authority truck and some equipment was reported stolen and then recovered the next day by police. Officers were called to the CHA Maintenance Building last Tuesday for the report of someone stealing several items from CHA trucks in the rear parking lot along with a 2002 Dodge Ram work truck valued at $5000. The suspects came through a locked gate and then locked it again on their way out. The vehicle was located by an officer the next day at the Peavine Road McDonald’s. The driver, identified as 19-year-old Austin Bruce Lamasters, did admit to stealing the items. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. The other items had not been recovered at the time of the report.
