STORM DAMAGE IN BLEDSOE COUNTY COULD BE FROM POSSIBLE TORNADO
Weather officials will try to determine if a brief tornado struck in Bledsoe County early this morning. According to the Storm Prediction Center, Highway 127 in the vicinity of Pikeville and Old Highway 28 was closed for some time after numerous trees, power lines and power poles were blown down from a possible tornado. Bledsoe County was under a tornado warning at the time the damage happened. Trees blown down from high winds was also reported in Meigs, Roane, Loudon, McMinn, Blount and Knox counties.
